Shadwell Arabian broodmares for sale

Shadwell will sell 22 purebred Arabian broodmares online next week

You will rarely see those pedigrees in sales for this founding breed of racehorses, which can count on a fabulous international program. If you’re looking for the elite, you’ll find it on on Tuesday, December 21st from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m (French Time).
Every year, Shadwell brings world-class horses to the Arabian racing world. Take advantage of this exceptional sale of royal blood selected for more than thirty-five years by the late H. H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum. On, 22 Arabian broodmares among the most successful bloodlines will be on sale for one hour on Tuesday December 21st. The first day of Winter promises to be hot for Arabian racing fans as some of the broodmares are presented in foal to the best stallions.
“These are families rarely seen on the French market,” explains Marion Lachat, sales coordinator and expert on each of these lots after eight years with Shadwell Stud. These are unprecedented pedigrees in France which will allow very easy crossings and the introduction of exceptional bloodlines”.

Tashreefat (Bengali d’Albret) – homebred broodmare, dam of Group 1 winners

Tashreefat (BENGALI D’ALBRET) is one of those exceptionally strong bloodlines! At 19, this Gr.1 performer gave birth to champions such as MOSHRIF (DAHESS), BARNAMAJ (NO RISK AL MAURY) and MURAAQIB (MUNJIZ), winner of 7 Gr.1 in Europe but also in Turkey, Abu Dhabi and the United Kingdom, making him a true ambassador of his breed. This family is exempt of Amer blood.
Two of her daughters are also in the catalogue: Maraasem (AKIM DE DUCOR) and AJAAYIB (MAHABB), both black type in competition and ready to take over from their illustrious mother at stud.
We must add in this family WATHEEQA (MUNJIZ), half-sister to Tashreefat, who was injured too early to shine in competition but who has retained all her freshness for her career as a broodmare.

From Group 1 winner to exceptional broodmare, it only took a few years for ZIVA (DORMANE) since she gave birth to Gr.1 winner HANDASSA (MADJANI) and Gr.2 winner JAMAHEER (MAHABB). Three daughters of ZIVA are offered in this Shadwell sale: AMAAN, JAMAHEER and JADEEDA, all in foal to AF AL BURAQ. This family comes from the essential matron CHERIFA.

SALAAMA (MAHABB), Gr.2 winner on track at 3 years old, gives her precociousness to her 2nd product MUNEER (DAHESS), unbeaten in England in two outings at 3.
Consistency on the track is also what defines the two sisters ANFAAS (NO RISK AL MAURY) and SALEEMAH (MADJANI). The two daughters of broodmare LAQATAAT earned their place at stud after a flawless career: ANFAAS won 4 races and was placed 6 times in 14 starts. SALEEMAH has a record of 5 wins and 4 places out of 12 runs.

Neige Al Maury (Dormane) and her 2021 foal at Shadwell Stud

Just say that this NEIGE AL MAURY (DORMANE) is out of NECTARINE AL MAURY who has produced some amazing progeny: to name only the cream of the crop, it suffices to mention NO RISK AL MAURY, 17 wins on the clock, or the black type NACREE AL MAURY, mother of LADY PRINCESS, winner a few days ago of the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Jewel Crown (Gr.1) in Abu Dhabi but also of MISTER GINOUX, winner of the Qatar International Trophy (Gr.1) before coming to France to stand at stud. NEIGE AL MAURY is presented in foal to MURAAQIB.

Always remarkable lots
● Beautiful Tunisian pedigree for OUASSILA THABET (AKBAR) out of a dam who produced only winners and who is in foal to MISTER GINOUX.
● Two daughters out of SOPHIE DU LOUP (MANGANATE) are also in the catalogue: AGHSAAN and ZAAQYA. SOPHIE DU LOUP impressed on the track, winning races that are now promoted to Group 1, ahead of the males.

Shadwell Arabian Mare Sale, 21st December 2021 by Shadwell_Stud – Issuu

The 22 mares are currently in France, at Haras de Thouars.

Stud farm specialized in Arabian horses based in Lot-et-Garonne, Thouars is run by Mathieu Postis, Emmanuel and Anthony Cessac. “The quality of Shadwell mares revived Arabian racing 40 years ago and this quality is still relevant today,” said Emmanuel Cessac. All broodmares are blacktype and very easy to cross, Shadwell having chosen to breed without Amer’s blood until very recently. These are modern bloodlines and French families that are coming back to French soil with very interesting foals to come by Muraaqib which has not been marketed until then, as well as other high quality stallions ”.

Arnaud Angéliaume, General Director Auctav: “When we created Auctav, it was with the ambition to organize such sales. We have always insisted on the greatest openness, whether for the level of horses with adapted sales but also by allowing all the breeds which make up the wealth of French racing. Shadwell’s trust is a tremendous reward for the work we have done this year. This is a catalogue of elite mares offered to the international market. We are available for buyers to help them create their account in order to be able to bid on these mares that will not leave anyone indifferent”.
